Oralite 5821BF warning marking – 380 mm wide
The correct warning marking on escort vehicles for large-scale and heavy transport is a basic requirement for optimum visibility of the transport convoy in road traffic.
ORALITE® 5821BF High Intensity Fleet Marking Grade has been specially developed for this purpose and meets the requirements of the information sheet on the equipment of private escort vehicles for securing large-volume and heavy transports.
An application package consists of right- and left-facing markings in the specified roll length!
Width: 380 mm
Strip width: 180 mm
Roll length: 1 m, 2 m, 5 m, 10 m or 50 m

Securing large-volume and heavy goods transports
High visibility of escort vehicles
Large-volume and heavy goods transports exceed the usual limits for road traffic in Germany in terms of their dimensions and weights and therefore pose a safety hazard.
For this reason, such transports must be secured by escort vehicles. The technical equipment of these escort vehicles is regulated in the "Information sheet on the equipment of private escort vehicles
for securing large-volume and heavy transports" by the Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure.
Compliance with these specifications ensures that the escort vehicles are clearly visible and that the dangers of large-volume and heavy goods transport are recognised by other road users.
For the warning markings on escort vehicles, only class RA2 retro-reflective film based on glass bead technology (structure B) in white/red may be used due to its optimised visibility.
The films must meet the requirements of DIN 67520 for specific retroreflective values and the requirements for reflective colours of DIN 6171. Furthermore, the following minimum dimensions must be ensured:
B = 180 mm
D > 175 mm
? = 45
Escort vehicles within the meaning of this information sheet are motor vehicles with a maximum permissible total weight of 3.5 t with a mounted variable traffic sign system (WVZ system) that are specially designed for securing
large-scale and heavy transport operations and are used on the instructions of the road traffic authorities.
